In 2009, LiveWorkPlay received $700,000 in capital funds through the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program. This came as the result of participation in a competitive public Request for Proposals proposals process. These funds are being used to purchase condomominium units which are then rented affordable to people with intellectual disabilities. The real cost of these units was approximately $1,200,000 which meant that LiveWorkPlay raised an additional $500,000 to make the plan possible.
