Summer Youth Services
Youth summer services are offered in July for people with intellectual disabilities ages 13-21 who are returning to school in September. Enrolment is limited to active youth members only.
In 2008, summer youth services took a new direction (from the earlier version that was similar to a day camp) with members supported to plan, prepare, and experience a three-day trip to Montreal.
Summer youth services at LiveWorkPlay offer a unique mix of learning and fun. In its new format, our summer youth initiative will continue to help members to develop self-esteem and self-advocacy, as well as skills related to problem-solving, communication, money management and personal organization. The travel component will offer a unique opportunity to practice these skills under challenging and stimulating circumstances.
