May 13: Day 6

This morning the wonderful crew of April and Richard from Moving On finished their work - for now. They will be back near the end of June.

Things got started bright and early. When Lucas and April saw each other they joked about how they coordinated their yellow shirts!

The morning routine has a lot more diversity this year. There's people leaving at all different times to go to work or volunteer placements. And even though most of the group is usually heading to LiveWorkPlay, some people have made the decision to go at different times. For example, Caroline sometimes takes the next bus. She just prefers to arrive closer to the start of SMILE, and everyone is learning to respect individual differences.

Richard wanted to get some footage of the majority of the group walking to the bus, and it was kind of comical to watch him running with his big camera to get in front of the participants. Lucas was asked to do an interview so he had to get on the bus and then get off at the next stop and come back. His mom was interviewed a bit later in the morning, and then the crew headed back to Toronto.

It's full steam ahead on the idea of "14 Dreams" as the theme for the open house. It's going to be a lot of work to get it done, but it's a unique opportunity for everyone to tell their story.
