June 23: Day 47
A lot went on!
"The girls" had been talking about having a pizza party sometime before the project was over, and it happened tonight. About half the group had pizza and the other half went to the caf as usual. Everyone seemed happy with their choices, although there was initially some difficulties about the fact that not everyone wanted to do the same thing. In the end everyone ended up having some pizza (or the offer of some pizza) because there was more than enough.
After dinner a lot of different things happened. Caroline, John, and Laura played some football, Rachel hosted a movie screening, Warren was at a volunteer barbecue at the Glebe Centre, and Cooper was out playing softball and managed to remove almost all the skin from his right knee. There's already a scar there from hurting his leg in hockey, so it won't look much worse than it already does!
Emotions are running high. Some participants are already a bit sad about the change that is coming up, while others are more focused on having a good time on Friday, but everyone is doing really well.
The crew from Moving On did their final shoot today. They were out interviewing some of the parents, and then they came to SMILE. Richard and April did a really thorough job and hopefully they were not late for their plane!
