The Innovative LiveWorkPlay Approach To Long-Term Housing For People With Intellectual Disabilities
May 27: Day 20
New update - because you wanted to know! The stained glass party was a big success. Fran asked Jen if she needed help planning it, and she said "I don't want to get help if I don't need it, so I want to try by myself first." And as it turned out, she did just great all by herself!
Another quick update: the hallway doors are now back on the locking system. If you don't know what this means, don't worry about it. If you do know what it means, you can thank John Tracey at Carleton for responding to our request in snappy fashion.
The big push to get people out to the Open House on June 17 is getting underway. A lot of people reading this will soon receive a written invitation in the mail. If you want to send email invitations to friends, family, and colleagues, just direct them to www.liveworkplay.ca/OOOT2/invite.html.
It's Day 20. Wow. That means that the end of project banquet is not much more than a month away! Details about the location and ticket price will be released soon. Stay tuned!
Last but not least, newspaper columnist AJ Blauer from the Ottawa Sun will have a story about OOOT2 on page six (or thereabouts) this coming Saturday. He spent three hours with the participants and he'll have quite a challenge getting all the information into one column, but we're betting he did a good job. So, get a copy of the Sun this Saturday and check it out!
PICTURES!
Sorry, out of film. OK, you aren't buying that. How about...out of space on the digital card?
